Have you got a copy of the 2001 Return of Acorn Antiques? It was part of Victoria Wood’s Sketch Show Story and was genius but my recording of it was wiped a few years ago. Any chance you can post it here? It’s not well known enough. Quote on modernising the script: “Mrs Overall’s is shooting up with a couple of rent boys in the pantry….” etc

I love As Seen On TV!!Esp. Acorn Antiques. Celia Imrie makes me laugh so much. I was watching Dinnerladies once and everything was hectic and stuff and then Phillipa (Celia Imrie’s character) burst in, going:”Would this be a good time to talk about Scottish country dancers?” and I just cracked up.

It was actually Celia Imrie and Duncan Preston who order the soup. Julie is brilliant in that sketch. Put in “Victoria Wood two soups” and it’ll come up. “one soup… and… another one”
